Instructor: Responsible for instructing K-12 students in the instructor’s area of expertise based on the curriculum provided by After School University in the following subjects: mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, computer programming, engineering, and language arts. Responsibilities will include: student progress documentation and reporting, close work with PhD faculty on customizing the curriculum for each student, administering quizzes and tests and assigning homework. Also responsible for student engagement and inspiration to succeed in selected subjects and gain academic confidence through personal mentoring and becoming a role model for the student. This is a great opportunity for expansion of your knowledge through hands-on instruction and creating real-life applications in an inquiry-based learning environment. Opportunities for advancement are available for the most qualified candidates, to positions such as senior instructor or department chair.
