At After School University, we value success and high educational standards. We want to provide our students with the best opportunities for higher education that will lead them to a successful career in the future. We also know that the college application process requires support and guidance and we want to work with both the parents and students to achieve individual goals regarding college.

Challenges that current college applicants face:

• Less funds available and increasingly competitive requirements for scholarships
• High percentage of unemployment after graduation or employment in an unrelated field
• A Master’s degree has become the new requirement for many job opportunities
• In the next twenty years, approximately 40% of the job demand will be in fields that do not exist today
• The most competitive students will be the ones who have a multi-disciplinary education in addition to the highest academic excellence

Our college advising program, Ready for College, is not only conscientious of these challenges, but knowledgeable on how to prepare for and overcome them. We target these challenges and exceed the traditional methods of college counseling. Together with students and parents, we build a road map for long term, individual success.
